TagScanner X presents a robust solution for managing asset tags with the convenience of your iPhone's camera. Accommodating a variety of barcodes, including 2D and 1D formats such as PDF417, QR, Aztec, EAN, UPC, and Code 128, it offers versatility for various tagging needs.

The application features four distinct input modes designed to optimize the user experience for different tasks:

• Normal Mode: Automatically captures the asset tag, date/time, and location upon scanning, facilitating a quick and seamless process without requiring user interaction.
• Inventory Mode: In addition to the asset tag, this mode records the date/time, location, default building, default department, default make, and default model without user input, enhancing inventory management efforts.
• Detail Mode: Upon scanning, this mode populates a form with essential details—including asset tag, date/time, location, default building, default department, default make, and default model—allowing users to review and modify information before saving it to the database.
• Email Mode: Similar to Normal Mode but includes an automated email draft with pre-defined recipients. This facilitates quick communication regarding the scanned asset tag while retaining essential data such as date/time and location.

The database view enhances usability by enabling users to copy multiple tags to the clipboard or export a CSV file containing comprehensive tag information via email. When examining individual tag data in the database, the app also features an automatic map marker to indicate where each asset tag was scanned.
